Pull Tabs for Ronald McDonald House

The girls and I just delivered 60 lbs of pull tabs to the Ronald McDonald House in Fort Worth. They said they get $.80/lb so that equals about $48. That's pretty good...for basically trash. A special thanks goes to Mrs. Sullivan's room who collected the majority of them!!

They were out of the large boxes (for those that requested them) but they will get us some. They also listed some fun opportunities to help out there:

  • bring a group and either bake goodies there in their kitchen or make supper for them (every night volunteers make supper for the House)
  • have a field trip there and bake or put up holiday decorations (except Christmas - they already have a group that does that every year)
  • take up a collection of toiletries (like you would find in a hotel) - they provide a gift bag for each family when they arrive
  • help assembling the gift bags
